Charles River Analytics has been awarded a $500,000 Air Force contract to develop a cyber defense toolkit.
Charles River will build the Managing Evaluation and Testing for Red Team Investigations of Cyber Security (METRICS) toolkit, according to a company news release.
“METRICS includes four components: a library for real-time assessment and identification of security failures; authoring tools to develop and collect customizable metrics; a visualization framework to review the results of analysis, and the capability to identify requirements for non-invasive data collection,” the company said.
“METRICS provides intuitive tools for developing cyber-defense performance measures in test environments,” according to Sean Guarino, a scientist at Charles River. “It enables the development of better cyber defense tools and performance assessments in training exercises.”
