Leidos has been awarded a $38 million Air Force Research Laboratory contract to conduct electromagnetic research.
Under the five-year contract, Leidos will develop high-power electromagnetic, or HPEM, technology with the goal of producing next-generation sources that can produce HPEM, according to a Leidos news release.
“Milestones include establishing a program and research facility, conducting component research, and working with the government and other researchers toward their HPEM objectives,” Leidos said. “Leidos will also provide diagnostic and data acquisition, as well as laboratory preparation work.”
