The Library of Congress — like libraries nationwide — is working to adapt to the digital world we live in and use new technologies to preserve and disseminate information. The Federal Library and Information Network (FEDLink) — a portal for sharing the latest technologies and techniques — wants to hear from other tech-savvy feds and has put out a call for speakers for its brown bag series.
OpenOpps: Calling All Tech Speakers
The FEDLink Libraries and Emerging Technologies (LET) Working Group holds regular Teach Me Technology education luncheons and is looking for knowledgeable federal employees to “share your passion about a technology, process, service or system you believe can help federal libraries and information centers,” according to a post on OpenOpps.
The call for speakers is only open to federal employees but is not restricted solely to persons working at the Library of Congress or other related agencies.
Interested speakers must live in or plan to visit the D.C. area this year and be able to present for 30 to 60 minutes at the Library of Congress.
