Citizens would embrace federally offered digital assistants, according to an Accenture Federal Services survey conducted by McGuire Research Services Inc.
Of the 500 D.C. metro area residents polled online, 85 percent indicated they would embrace the government’s version of Amazon’s “Alexa” or Apple’s “Siri” as a means to access federal citizen services.
More than 60 percent of respondents cited 24/7 service, enhanced efficiency and better navigation as the foremost benefits that could be provided by agencies implementing AI technology.
Almost 40 percent of survey participants pointed to around-the-clock service as the No. 1 benefit. This 24/7 availability was the overwhelming attraction among Baby Boomers; Millennials, meanwhile, pointed to personalized service as the top benefit.
