The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program has approved Cylance, a cybersecurity company based in Irvine, California, as a third-party assessment organization (3PAO). That gives Cylance the authority to evaluate and inspect cloud systems to determine whether they meet FedRAMP standards.
“As we have seen time and time again, third party risk can fail even the strongest of security defenses,” said Corey White, vice president of professional services at Cylance. “As our enemies become increasingly more aggressive and sophisticated, the ability to understand and address risk with a common language and unified approach is critical. Cylance’s unparalleled combination of deep technical expertise and innovation was born into and tuned for this new reality,”
With Cylance’s approval, announced in July, there are now 33 organizations authorized to evaluate cloud offerings for FedRAMP compliance.
