Peter Tseronis plans to leave government for the private sector at the end of October, Tseronis, the Energy Department’s CTO, has been in government for more than 24 years.
Tseronis announced his planned departure in a LinkedIn note on Sept. 24.
“As a thought leader and innovation [advocate] for the technology transfer and commercialization of intellectual property, the opportunity to collaborate with and across our national laboratory, government, industry and academic eco-systems to facilitate mission alignment with technology investments is an amazing and rewarding experience,” he wrote.
“My fervor for the research and development community resulted in the creation of an advocacy and technology exchange forum to streamline information sharing across public and private sectors. And building on this success, I led the development and creation of the Department’s [E]nterprise Technology Roadmap, which promotes a formal, sustainable innovation program and brings innovative solutions into the [d]epartment’s cyber portfolio.”
Tseronis did not disclose the identity of his next employer.
