Gunshots were reportedly fired outside the Fort Des Moines Marine Corps office in south Des Moines, Iowa, on Thursday night.
Des Moines Police responded at about 8 p.m. to Fort Des Moines, 47 Dickman Road, just south of East Army Post Road.
No one was injured, and police officers were unable to locate any evidence of shooting at the scene, Des Moines Police Sgt. Tim Peak said.
It was unclear whether the Marine Corps office was targeted by the gunshots, Peak said.
Police were unable to locate any suspects on scene, he said.
Police cleared the scene and left within an hour of the gunshots being reported.
The case is still under investigation.
