E. Alan Normandy from Battle Comp Enterprise spoke with us today, and dropped off one of the new Battle Comp 2.0s. This is of interest to me as I’ve almost completed writing up the long term evaluation of the Battle Comp 1.0. The condensed version of that article is that it works very well in controlling muzzle rise while keeping flash down. It does this while negating blast zones meaning that its not painful to those people around you, and if you are shooting near obstacles, inside buildings, or in an urban prone shooting position, you aren’t getting the pressure bounced back at you in the same way you would typical compensators.
Its pretty evident that there are fine channels machined around the outside of the body of the BC 2.0. Alan stated this was done to allow silencers which attach to a standard A2 flash suppressors to lock on properly. With the BC 2.0 being can friendly, it should put smiles on the faces of quite a few people. Alan advised us the cost on the BC 2.0 went up around $15 due to the extra machining time, but that the BC 1.0 was (otherwise identical) was staying in the production lineup at its current price. Look for our long term review of the BC 1.0 in the near future.
