Cyclists tackled the 10-kilometer loop at Fort Carson on Monday in handcycles, recumbent bikes, tandem bicycles and your typical racing bikes. SOCOM’s Cpl. Justin Gaertner, seen above, notched the day’s first gold medal in the 10-kilometer handcycle race. SOCOM later took another gold with a decisive victory in the Men’s Visually-Impaired Tandem race in a grueling 30-kilometer event. Here are a few images from the day:
