The Defense Entrepreneur’s Forum is a group of current and former military officers who seek to transform the Pentagon from the inside. The group, which describes its goal as “disrupting the status-quo by inspiring, connecting, and empowering young leaders. Defense News Associate Editor Aaron Mehta met with DEF’s Executive Director Jim Hasik and Washington DC area coordinator Jim Tripiano to explain. These troops who served in Iraq and Afghanistan today produce wooden flags and wall art that can be found in homes and offices around the world.
