Long-range B-52 bombers and 800 airmen have been deployed by the US Air Force to the United Kingdom to participate in joint exercises with NATO allies and partners. The B-52 Stratofortresses, which have nuclear capabilities, will be a party of a series of exercises that will take place at Russia’s doorstep, in the Baltic Sea, the Arctic, and along the border of Russia. The deployment comes at a time when the US military could be attempting to assure its European allies, following a tense European visit by President Donald Trump.
