Virtualization is a key feature of Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS), an upcoming telecommunications contract from the General Services Administration that will replace the current Networx contract ovet the next five years. GSA released a draft request for proposals for EIS, which is a major part of the Network Services 2020 program, on Feb. 28, according to a report in Federal Times.
Thomas Sasala, CTO of the Army’s IT Agency, will provide an update on DoD’s virtualization efforts in a special free webcast on March 10. Click here for more.
EIS covers virtual private networks (VPNs), Ethernet, voice and managed network services.
