Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer is buying Rockwell Collins radios for the Brazilian Air Force’s I-X project.
The project calls for Embraer Legacy 500 aircraft to be used for flight inspection and airport calibration missions, according to a Rockwell Collins news release. Rockwell Collins will provide Talon radios for the aircraft.
“This is a key program win for us, as it represents our first Talon radio sale to Embraer for a Brazilian Air Force program, and is a complement to our existing Talon radio position on Brazilian Army rotary aircraft,” said Alan Prowse, a Rockwell Collins vice president.
