American and Britain will collaborate on cyber war games this year, according to an announcement from Britain’s government reported by the Associated Press.
The exercises are only one component of an effort to jointly shore up cyber defenses; they also plan a “cyber cell” for information sharing.
The first games will be based on a scenario involving attacks on banks and other financial institutions in New York and London, with banks also taking part. Other exercises are expected later.
