The Navy has awarded a $106.7 million contract to build a new cyber research building at the Naval Academy.
Turner Construction won the contract to design and erect an academic building for the new Center for Cyber Security Studies.
“The work to be performed provides for the design and construction of a multi-story academic mission facility including classrooms, teaching and research laboratories, lecture halls, offices, multi-purpose space, an observatory, loading dock, and research and testing tank in support of the engineering and weapons labs,” according to the Department of Defense contract announcement.
The work is scheduled to be completed by September 2019.
