The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) will merge its main IT offices into a single department next month to speed up adoption of new technologies and meet the needs of the intelligence community.
The Office of the CIO and IT services will be reorganized under a single IT architecture beginning Feb. 15.
Douglas McGovern, the agency’s former chief operating officer and current director of NGA’s research and development branch, InnoVision, will employ his experience in technology and management as head of the new combined IT services department.
