Thales and DRS will develop software that controls the sensors on Canadian LAV armored vehicles. The work will be done under a $100 million contract awarded by General Dynamics Land Systems – Canada, which itself is producing the surveillance suites for the Canadian Army’s light armored vehicle-reconnaissance surveillance system project.
Thales will design the Battlefield Operational Surveillance Software, which will be integrated into DRS’s Surveillance and Battlefield Reconnaissance Equipment system, according to a Thales announcement.
