Taiwan’s Air Force is buying Sniper Advanced Targeting Pods for its F-16s.
The initial order is for two Sniper pods, according to a Lockheed Martin news release. Lockheed will also provide integration support for LANTIRN targeting and navigation pods on Taiwanese F-16s.
“With Sniper ATP, pilots will have access to unmatched imagery for precision targeting and nontraditional intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance efforts, enabling greater overall mission success,” said Marc Nazon, Sniper international program manager at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control.
