IntelliNet Sensors has unveiled sensors that can detect living persons on ships and in cargo containers.
The Lynx 3-A includes “networked and advanced sensors designed to detect the existence of live persons hiding inside a container or a vessel while an integrated video camera system and other sensors capture the information of the vehicle,” said an IntelliNet news release. “The ultra-wideband radio frequency system searches for changes in the electromagnetic signature of a confined volume and registers its minuscule perturbations.”
“By remotely using the sensors in multiple points spatially, hiding individuals are detected in real-time at the fraction of capital expenditure and operating cost,” said IntelliNet president Fred Mohamadi.
