The military has a variety of serious cyber security challenges that it is attempting to address with the single security architecture and joint regional security stacks outlined within the Joint Information Environment. The JIE was developed in response to the growing number of increasingly sophisticated and aggressive cyber attacks on military networks, and includes the use of advanced cybersecurity tools that will help give network manages total visibility into who is accessing the network and what actions they are taking. Greenwell and Orndorff will address threat protection, secure mobility, social networking, the JIE and establishment of joint regional security stacks, and how cyber security can provide total visibility into sensitive networks.
