Riverside Research Institute and Leidos have been awarded a $48 million Air Force contract to develop open architecture mission systems.
Under the indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity Air Force Research Laboratory contract, the two companies will “provide applied and advanced research and development, as well as advanced component development and prototypes, to evolve and expand emerging open architecture standards and approaches for current and next-generation Air Force weapon systems,” according to the Department of Defense contract announcement.
The contract is scheduled to be completed by November 2023.
