Logos has been awarded a $32.8 million contract for sensors for small UAVs.
Logos will work on basic and applied research of compact sensor systems that could be flown on platforms such as the RQ-21 Blackjack, the Tiger Shark, and the RQ-8 Fire Scout for the Air Force and Army, according to the Department of Defense contract announcement.
“The research conducted will leverage previous quick reaction capability efforts in the domains of wide area airborne surveillance, hyperspectral imaging, high resolution imaging, and light detection and ranging,” the announcement reads.
The contract, scheduled for completion in June 2018, was awarded by the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division.
